Areca palm leaf plates are the best alternative to paper, plastic, and Styrofoam tableware. These plates are made from naturally fallen areca palm leaves. The only processing they go through is cleaning and heat pressing!

The heat-press process uses no chemicals or waxes and is 100% natural. Since the leaves are harvested after they have fallen, no trees are cut or harmed at all during the entire process. These plates are durable and strong enough to not be cut or punctured by a knife or fork.

Though these are designed to be single-use plate, you can actually get multiple uses out of them if you care for them properly.

How does it help?

This product is produced with naturally-occurring materials and uses no chemicals to be made. It only uses the leaves of the areca palm trees so the plant is free to continue growing and cleaning our air! Traditional paper plates use trees that have been cut down and Styrofoam plates are made from chemicals and petroleum and take over 500 years to decompose! Both Styrofoam and paper plates are also chemically treated and require a lengthy manufacturing process with lots of carbon emissions, over 3.5 grams of carbonper plate! Being compostable means that they will break down in a fraction of the time that similar products would.
