Beyond the environmental impact, you'll also help out the less-fortunate! The upcycled shoes found on Upcycle Outpost  are made from recycled products including old tires and leather locally sourced from communities in Haiti. The shoes are handcrafted in the Dominican Republic by artisan shoemakers. This means that each sale helps to clean up waste material and stimulates local economies in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. 

How are upcycled shoes different from new ones?

That's the best part! There really isn't any difference between our upcycled shoes and new ones that you might purchase except for where the materials come from. The soles of these upcycle shoes are not used shoes, they have simply completed their journey as tires and now are finding new purpose as the soles of your new favorite shoes! You get to feel good about your purchase and still get a comfortable pair of shoes that looks and feels just like a new pair.
